Background and History: Since 2001, the UCSD / O’Connor twin resource has already provided information (phenotypic, genotypic, demographic) and reagents (blood, plasma, urine, DNA, human induced pluripotent stem cells) to support a wide range of academic investigators: UCSD programs in Metabolism, Nephrology, GI, Political Science, Family Prev Med, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Bioengineering/Bioinformatics, Pharmacy, Orthopedics; as well as UAB/UCSD O’Brien NIDDK center, Duke Univ, QIMR/Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) Peking Union Medical College, and Inje University (Busan, South Korea).
